Quick Jyotish is a small horoscope chart program which is a desktop version of our Online Chart generator with the addition that it uses a planetary calculation engine that accepts dates from 1000-2300 AD and saves charts in the Quick Chart format (importable into Jyotish Tools for Windows and Pocket PC). This is a preliminary version (beta). It is based on the Fast Light Tool Kit verson 2 http://www.fltk.org which is a cross platform library for Windows, Linux, and Macintosh. FLTK2 may be a little more compatible with different versions of Linux than wxWidgets. This version works on Ubuntu 7.10 and other distros. Printing is not currently available in FLTK2. Version 1.1 fixes a retrograde bug.

Quick Jyotish Linux Netbook

Special version for small netbooks running Linux. The screen layout for netbooks which can have a small 7 inch 800x480 display makes the regular Linux version a little difficult to use. This special version built on an ASUS Eee-PC 2G Surf running Xandros is configured for a 16x9 display with the dashas on the right hand side.
