SWReg version requires Google Maps to install. Many inexpensive tablets do not have Google Maps. A simple way to test is to download the free Quick Jyotish for Android below which also requires Google Maps to run. If it won't install then Jyotish Tools will not run on your phone or tablet.
SWReg version locks to the phone and may not work if SIM cards are exchanged.
SWReg version will require access to the Internet to authenticate on installation and occaisional authentication checks. This will work with either data access or wifi.
Some of you may have received an SWReg version where the update check does not work. Please contact support if you have that version or if you purchased the extended download and don't have the latest version you can get it that way.
Note that versions between Google Play, Amazon and SWReg may not be similar even though they are internally the same version. Particularly with Google Play in order to make sure that users with screens smaller than 10" did not get the tablet version I needed to revise filters that Play uses. So even though internally nothing changed only filter values that Play uses changed. These filters are not used with SWReg nor Amazon.

GPS Prasna is a free program which takes advantage of the Google GPS services to get the longitude and latitude for your current location to generate a Prasna chart. The new version also provides a dialog during lookup which may be canceled or times out after 2.5 minutes falling back to the cached GPS location or network location. The horoscope of the moment is generated in either north or south chart format. Lahiri ayanamsha is used. Support also provided for large screens and external memory (SD card, etc.) installation. Version 1.0.8 improves GPS and location services.

Quick Jyotish for Google Android Phones

The Android version of Quick Jyotish. It provides the horoscope chart in north or south style, the planetary positions, the Navamsha signs of planets and Vimshottari Dasha planetary periods. All calculations use Lahiri ayanamsha.
The Android version offers the use of Google Maps to find the longitude and latitude of a location. Click on the Map button to search the world for your location. Be aware that additional data charges for this service may be incurred depending on your phone plan.
